Flagstaff Arizona is where we began. My life, my marriage and eventually my children and my beginnings as a welder. Welding started in high school for me, metals class learning oxy acetylene welding and smaw (stick welding). I was hired as a welder at the only local muffler shop in town, with years in the auto repair industry, it came naturally and was part of the job. I had done lots of fabrication projects for people and started to learn new welding processes like gtaw (tig) welding. It wasn't until Covid that I decided to fully pursue it as a career. I decided to uproot our family life, my wife's career and take the chance to enroll in welding school at Universal Technical Institute.
At that point I had been welding everyday for 3 years and wanted to learn more. I was fortunate to have experience going into welding school and was awarded 'Student of the Course' multiple times. During this time I learned a lot from the program, from techniques to different welding processes and methods like cold spray welding and reverse and straight polarity welding, aluminum smaw (mig) and gtaw (tig) and many more types. I have always been a hands on learner and that made choosing a career in trades the best choice for me. Metalworking is by far my favorite thing to do and it allows me to be creative and work with my hands, for the last 6 years it has been my true calling.
